The SAT is going digital in 2024 - here’s a quick scoop

- The HS class of 2025 will be the first U.S. HS class to take the digital tests.

- The SAT will go digital in the U.S. in spring of 2024; from spring 2024 onward, the paper SAT will not be an option.

- The digital SAT will still be administered in testing centers (not at home).

- The digital SAT will still have a 1600-point scale.

- The digital SAT will consist of two sections: Reading/Writing and Math.

- The digital SAT will last for two hours (plus a break in between the two sections).

- Students may use a personal or school-issued laptop or tablet, and students without a laptop or tablet can request one from the College Board.

- Scores will be delivered in days instead of weeks.
